Stud is a protruding rod, pin, or peg in machinery, used primarily as a support or pivot. Found as threaded, acme threaded, or coil-threaded. May be fully or partially threaded. Ideal to anchor structural elements to surfaces, support fixtures in hanging systems, or carry heavy loads. May also be used in concrete forms.
